1. Picked up trash from a neighbor's yard.
How many times could an OCD person stress cleanliness?
2. Reaffirmed another teacher that a planned event was going to go well.
Sometimes we teachers seem like we have it all put together - or at least we act the good part. Then other times there is a breaking point. If you can be the glue to hold someone together - be it! There will be a day that you will need them to return the favor.
3. Thanked a friend for their friendship
This particular friend was away for several weeks traveling to different places and seeing different things. Everyday I prayed for safe travels for this friend because they really mean a lot to my life. Now that they returned, it was only fitting to thank them for their continuous support & care through a wonderful friendship. Sometimes in life we just need to hear "thank you."
Note: If you can teach your kids any 4 sayings, they should be:
1. Thank you
2. Please
3. Excuse me
4. I'm sorry - this one is probably the most important
4. Told another teacher how much I appreciated her artistry within the school that we teach at.
So I admit it - I normally don't get along with this particular teacher. She thinks very different from me, which leads me into the problem of not understanding her and her beliefs. However, she is an amazing artist and gets her students to do amazing things. It was only befitting to share the appreciation.
5. Thanked the custodians for all of their hard work.
So school will be starting soon. The custodians have this incredible job of cleaning everything and every room in the entire building. Sometimes we teachers completely forget how hard these people work.
